Service requests
In order to obtain an authorisation, an application shall be made to the Customs Decision System (CDS - EU Trader Portal) using the SRS Electronic Declaration System (EDS) (https://eds.vid.gov.lv/login/ - Connect to European Information Systems - Customs Decision System (CDS - EU Trader Portal) - Applications - New Application).
The customs authority has 30 days to check whether all conditions are fulfilled and will notify the applicant of the decision.
The application date is registered when the customs authority has received all necessary information.Receipt of services
The decision shall be communicated to the addressee using the SRS Electronic Declaration System, except where the applicant indicates another form of notification of the specific document.
The decision shall be registered in the Customs Decision System of the Union Customs Code (SMC) and the information shall be made available to the addressee via the SRS Electronic Declaration System (EDS), selecting the functional “Connect to European Information Systems” button.
If the applicant is not a user of the SRS and has not specified another type of notification, the decision shall be communicated to the addressee via postal services.
